The Crowcon Gas-Pro is a personal multi gas detector that monitors up to five gases in one compact unit, with an optional internal pump for pre-entry checks. The Gas-Pro TK is the tank version, built to measure flammable gas in inerted tanks. We supply both, along with the test gas and calibration to keep them in service.
| Gases | Up to 5 gases in one unit, including oxygen, flammable (% LEL), hydrogen sulphide and carbon monoxide |
|---|---|
| Other sensor options | Ammonia, carbon dioxide, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen cyanide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, sulphur dioxide |
| Sampling | Gas-Pro: optional internal pump, activated with the flow plate. Gas-Pro TK: internal pump with 30 m draw |
| Battery | Rechargeable Li-ion. Gas-Pro: over 14 hours (13 hours pumped) based on CH4, O2, H2S, CO. Gas-Pro TK: 13 hours typical (4 sensors, pump running). Typical charge time 7.5 hours |

Crowcon describes the Gas-Pro as a portable multi gas detector for up to five gases, including oxygen depletion. A typical setup is the classic 4 gas monitor: oxygen, flammable gas as % LEL, hydrogen sulphide and carbon monoxide. A fifth sensor can be added for a site-specific hazard such as ammonia, chlorine, nitrogen dioxide or sulphur dioxide.
The display sits on top of the unit, so the wearer can read it by looking down without unclipping it. Crowcon says this, with the backlight and small size, makes the Gas-Pro a good choice for poorly lit and confined conditions. It has a single button that works with gloves on, and it reminds the user when a bump test or calibration is due.
The Gas-Pro has a pre-entry check mode and an optional internal pump. Fitting the flow plate turns the pump on, so the same monitor can draw a sample from a manhole or tank before entry and then be worn in diffusion mode once work starts. Our page on confined space gas monitors explains why testing at different levels matters.
The Gas-Pro TK is Crowcon’s tank gas specialist, made for teams that purge, free or maintain storage and transportation tanks. Its dual infrared sensor reads flammable gas both as a percentage of volume and as % LEL, switching between the two automatically. Crowcon notes that, unlike catalytic bead (pellistor) sensors, it is not inhibited by high hydrocarbon concentrations.
The TK also monitors oxygen, which tells the user when levels are low enough to load and store fuel safely and high enough for safe tank entry. It has an internal pump with a 30 m draw.
Crowcon shows a manual bump test on the Gas-Pro using the gas flow plate, and supplies a charger cradle for daily charging. We stock calibration and bump test gases and regulators to match the sensors fitted to your units.
We also provide gas detector calibration with a certificate for each monitor, and our engineers service Gas-Pro units bought elsewhere. Our customer database flags a month in advance when a service is due.
Up to five at once, according to Crowcon. Most units are set up as a 4 gas monitor for oxygen, flammable gas, hydrogen sulphide and carbon monoxide, with a fifth sensor where a site has another known hazard.
Crowcon quotes over 14 hours, or 13 hours with the pump running, based on a methane, oxygen, H2S and CO setup. A typical recharge takes 7.5 hours.
The standard Gas-Pro is a general multi gas monitor with an optional pump. The Gas-Pro TK has a dual infrared sensor that reads flammable gas in %vol and %LEL, plus a built-in pump, for purging and gas-freeing tanks.
Yes. Our engineers calibrate and service gas detectors from many manufacturers. Tell us the model and the sensors fitted when you book.
